From Naxos (right here!), we took a forty five minute ferry experience* to the island of Paros, Greece. As a result of we had been travelling with a toddler, I needed to maintain issues as easy and as stress free as doable. Heading to a close-by island (vs. trekking a ways) felt like the correct transfer. I’ve to confess, I used to be a little nervous in regards to the islands being too related since they had been so shut to one another, however I used to be pleasantly shocked by how completely different they had been.
WHAT WE PACKED:
Whereas the island of Naxos felt very calm, informal, nearly bohemian in nature, Paros felt like a fancier extra grown up model. When you can in fact discover little hidden gems, a lot of the eating places had been extra upscale and energetic – typically with dwell music taking part in. That was at all times such a deal with. In the course of the day, the tiny winding streets are bustling with exercise – native distributors promoting all kinds of beautiful Greek items.
We stayed within the completely beautiful city of Naoussa, per my good friend Anna’s advice, and we had the loveliest time. Much like once we had been in Athens (right here!), we rented this condo. It was a extremely beautiful place, located in the perfect spot – actually steps to the principle strip but nonetheless utterly quiet. And having our personal kitchen additionally allowed us to do a few of our personal cooking and procuring, a severe bonus when travelling with a toddler. The lovable little balcony gave us sundown views, and acted as a fantastic spot to hang around after Ivy went to mattress.

Most of our days had been spent seashore hopping, taking part in on the playground, and consuming (we ate so a lot!) and it was the proper mixture of journey and rest. Like Naxos, we rented a automobile for a day which allowed us to discover different hidden gems on the island. The city of Lefkes was notably stunning (we had the perfect little lunch at this cafe!) And on our manner house we stopped to chill off at Kolymbithres Seaside, which in a short time grew to become our favorite seashore of our journey. It was one of the best ways to finish our trip, and I’ll keep in mind these two weeks of our lives with final fondness. It was so good for all of us to have this time with our little household.
